What “validation” means here
CommaLint is a CSV data quality checker, not a formal schema engine and not a guarantee that every destination app will accept your file. It looks for practical problems that commonly break imports or confuse reviews.
Findings you can review
- Ragged rows with the wrong field count
- Blank headers and duplicate headers
- Ambiguous dates and mixed date formats
- Blank cells, blank rows, and blank columns
- Edge whitespace and capitalization inconsistencies
- Exact duplicate rows
- Basic email syntax issues
- Non-numeric values and mixed number formats
- Mixed boolean-style tokens
Critical and Review items stay advisory. Optional Safe fixes are available only for a short, explicit cleanup list.
Validate privately, then decide
The full audit is free. You can inspect findings and preview cleanup before paying. Downloads of the cleaned CSV and HTML audit report need a $12 one-time license. Your spreadsheet contents are not uploaded to CommaLint.
