Why CSV files get messy
CRM exports, ecommerce downloads, and spreadsheet “Save As CSV” workflows often leave structural clutter. That clutter slows imports and makes reviews harder—even when the business data itself is mostly fine.
- Leading or trailing spaces on names, codes, or emails
- Completely empty rows left behind by filters or copy/paste
- Unused blank columns from templates
- Exact duplicate rows from merged exports
What this CSV cleaner does
CommaLint cleans only what you opt into. After a full audit, you can preview:
- Trim edge whitespace
- Remove blank rows
- Remove exact duplicate rows (off by default)
- Drop blank columns (off by default)
It does not silently rewrite dates, numbers, booleans, case, or email values. Those issues are reported so you can decide what matters.
Cleanup without uploading
Your CSV stays in the browser. There is no CommaLint account and no cloud storage of spreadsheet contents. A one-time $12 license unlocks cleaned CSV and HTML audit report downloads after you preview.
